The Multiple Phone Numbers feature makes it easy for companies to manage separate numbers for different locations, departments, or use cases - all under one Udext account.

1. Requesting an Additional Number

  • From the top-left of your screen, where your current phone number is displayed, click to contact our Support team.

  • Let us know the number of additional lines you need and the use case (location, department, etc.).

  • Our team will register the number(s) and set them up for you.

2. Billing & Credits

  • All numbers share the same billing and credits - no need to manage separate accounts.

  • Messages sent from any number will draw from your shared credit pool.

3. Switching Between Numbers

  • In the web platform, you can select the number you’d like to use before sending a message.

  • In the mobile app, switching between numbers is simple:

    • In the settings page, click on "Switch Account"

    • Select another number to send or receive messages from

  • You’ll continue to receive push notifications from all active numbers, ensuring nothing is missed.

4. Best Practices

  • Assign one number per location, department, or use case to keep communications clear.

  • Use descriptive labels when requesting new numbers (e.g., “Dallas Plant,” “HR Line,” or “Safety Alerts”).

  • Keep teams aligned by clarifying which number is used for which type of communication.
