Voice Calls in Broadcast allow you to send text-to-speech voice messages to your contacts, expanding your communication beyond SMS. This is especially useful for urgent notifications or reaching contacts with landline numbers.
What are Voice Calls in Broadcast?
Voice Calls in Broadcast let you convert your message into a voice call that is delivered directly to your recipients. Instead of receiving a text, contacts will receive a phone call where your message is read aloud using text-to-speech.
You can also send voice calls alongside SMS in the same broadcast for maximum reach.
Enabling Voice Calls
Voice Calls are available as a feature toggle. To enable this functionality, please contact the Udext support team at [email protected] or via Udext chat.
How It Works
Voice messages are generated using AI text-to-speech model
Calls are sent from your existing Udext number
If a call is missed, it will go to voicemail (if available)
The call will automatically end after the message is completed
Recipients cannot respond or interact with the call at this time
Sending a Voice Call Broadcast
Navigate to the Broadcast page. Click Create New. Complete your broadcast details (Title, Audience, etc.)
2. Under Channels, select Voice
3. Enter your message in the Voice Script section β this will be converted into a
voice call. You can select the Voice Type you would like to use and listen to a
preview of your message with Preview voice.
4. Schedule or send your broadcast as usual
