Broadcasting is a powerful tool that allows you to effectively communicate with your contacts by using mass texting. This guide will walk you through the steps to create a broadcast and explain each option in detail.

1. Navigating to the Broadcast Page

First, to start creating a broadcast, navigate to the "Broadcast" page on Udext. Here, you'll be presented with a clear 'Create New' button. Clicking this will pop up the form you need to create your broadcast.

2. Completing the Broadcast Form

  • Title: Begin by providing a title for your broadcast. This will help you identify the broadcast later, especially if you have multiple broadcasts scheduled.

  • Target Groups: The platform allows you to send broadcasts to specific groups that you've previously created on the Contacts page. Simply select the groups you wish to target with your message.

  • Message: This is the core of your broadcast. Type in the SMS message you wish to send to your contacts. Make sure the message is clear and to the point.

3. Scheduling Your Broadcast

Udext offers a versatile scheduling system for broadcasts:

  • Immediate: Choosing this will send out the broadcast as soon as you finalize and submit the form.

  • Future: This option lets you set a one-time broadcast for a future date. You have the flexibility to select the month, day, and hour.

Note: If you accidentally pick a past date, don't worry! The system will smartly schedule it for the same date in the next year.

  • Recurring: If you need to send a broadcast regularly, this option is for you. Depending on the frequency you need, you can set it to:

    • Daily: Simply set the hour and minutes for the broadcast.

    • Weekly: You can pick multiple days of the week (e.g., every Monday and Thursday) and set the hour and minutes.

    • Monthly: Select a specific day (by number) and set the hour and minute.

    • Yearly: Choose a specific month, day, hour, and minute for your yearly broadcast. If you choose a date that doesn't exist (like February 31st), the broadcast will be sent on the subsequent day (e.g., March 1st).

You can check the planned send date right after selecting the scheduled dates. This feature allows you to easily verify the date on which your broadcast will be sent out. It ensures that you have complete visibility and control over the timing of your communication with your contacts.

4. Language Considerations

Udext is designed with global users in mind. If you have contacts that speak different languages, rest assured the broadcast will be sent in their respective languages. You will be able to see the translated version of the message after the creation of the broadcast. This ensures clear and effective communication, no matter where your contacts are located.

5. Reviewing Your Broadcast

Once you've created your broadcast, you can view all the details about it on the Broadcast page. This allows you to review and, if necessary, modify any details before it's sent out. Additionally, the planned send dates will be shown, providing you with the ability to see and manage the timing of your broadcasts.
