Keeping a record of your conversations can be vital for various purposes, from compliance to performance reviews. Udext makes it easy to export conversation histories with just a few clicks. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you export chat histories effectively.

Accessing the Export Function

  1. Navigate to Your Inbox: First, open your Udext inbox, where all your conversations are listed.

  2. Find the Export Icon: Look for the Export Icon (symbolized by a download symbol) located within the inbox interface.

  3. Prepare for Export: Click on the Export Icon to initiate the export process.

Exporting the Conversation History

  1. Access the Conversation: Once you're in the conversation with the chosen contact, look for the Export Icon. This icon is represented by a download symbol.

  2. Initiate Export: Click on the Export Icon within the conversation. This action will automatically start the process of downloading the entire chat history with that contact in an Excel file format.

Understanding the Exported Data

The exported Excel file will include the following details for each message:

  1. Original Content: The exact text as sent or received.

  2. Translation: If translation was applied, the translated version of the message.

  3. Timestamp: The date and time each message was sent or received.

  4. Message Direction: Indicating whether the message was inbound (received) or outbound (sent).

  5. Sender's Details: The first and last name of the sender for each message.
