Personalizing your bulk messages in Udext is simple with the use of custom fields. These fields allow you to add a personal touch to each message, ensuring that your communications feel more direct and engaging. Here’s how you can use custom fields effectively.

Accessing Custom Fields in Broadcasts

  1. Navigate to Broadcast: Go to the Broadcast section in your Udext account.

  2. Locate the Hashtag Icon: In the message composition area, find the Hashtag Icon (symbolized by #).

  3. Open Custom Field Options: Click on the Hashtag Icon to view the available custom field options.

Adding Custom Fields to Your Message

  1. Choose Custom Fields: You will see options like first name, last name, phone number, and email. These are placeholders for personalized data.

  2. Insert Custom Fields: Click on the desired field(s) to add them to your message. They will appear in your message as {firstname}, {lastname}, {phonenumber}, {email}.

Understanding How Custom Fields Work

  • In Message Composition: Custom fields appear within curly braces, like {firstname}.

  • In Sent Messages: When the message is sent, Udext automatically replaces these placeholders with the actual data of each recipient. For example, {firstname} becomes John, {lastname} becomes Doe, etc.
