The Threat Center app helps your organization manage and track potential threats, including weather alerts, natural disasters, and other risk events. By adding your office locations or facilities to the app, you can monitor live updates and advisories to ensure the safety of your teams and operations.

Adding Locations

To begin tracking threats for your facilities, you’ll need to add locations to the Threat Center. Each location can represent a different office, warehouse, or any physical site that your organization manages.

  1. Access Threat Center App

  2. Create New Location

    • Location Name: The name of the facility or office (e.g., “Main Office”).

    • Address: The physical address of the location. You need to select from the list that pops up.

    • Users to Notify: Select the team members or users who should receive notifications about this location’s threats.

You’ll see a message that says, “Please allow up to 15 minutes to synchronize your location with the current natural disaster and weather alerts.” This ensures that all threat data for your location is up-to-date.

Tracking Active Threats

In the Threat Center app, you’ll see a map displaying current threats across different regions in the Overview tab.

  1. Color-Coded Markers

    • Orange Markers: Severe or moderate expected weather alerts.

    • Blue Markers: Locations that you've added.

    • Red Markers: Natural disasters.

  2. Location-Specific Threats

    • The number of active threats near your locations is displayed. Clicking on a location will provide detailed information about each threat.

Using Filters to Manage Threats

To make threat tracking more manageable, you can filter the threats displayed on the map and in the advisory list:

  1. Threat Type Filter

    • Use the dropdown labeled All Types to filter the types of threats you’re interested in (e.g., Weather Alert, Earthquake, Flood, Wildfire, etc.).

  2. Specific Threats Filter

    • The All Threats dropdown allows you to filter your locations.

    • The Relevant Threats allows you to see only the alerts that affect your locations.

This feature helps you focus on the most relevant threats that could impact your organization.

Best Practices for Managing Threats

  • Regularly Check for Updates: The Threat Center app pulls real-time data from trusted sources. Ensure that you check the app regularly for the latest advisories.

  • Customize Notifications: Select the appropriate users to notify for each location, ensuring that the right people are alerted during an emergency.

  • Use Filters: When managing multiple locations, the filter options help narrow down the specific threats that are most relevant to you

  • Send Broadcasts: If any alerts impact your location, you can quickly navigate to the Broadcast section and send critical information to your contacts within seconds.
