Using the Sequences App

Create automated message sequences to streamline onboarding, training, surveys, and other recurring employee communications.

The Sequences App allows you to create automated message sequences that are sent to contacts based on specific triggers. Sequences help teams save time by automating recurring workflows such as onboarding, offboarding, training campaigns, survey follow-ups and etc.


Accessing the Sequences App

  1. Navigate to the Apps section.

  2. Click on Sequences.


Creating a New Sequence

  1. Click on the Create New Sequence button.

  2. Choose a Template to get started or select Start from Scratch.

Templates help you quickly set up common workflows, but all sequences are fully customizable.


Building a Sequence

  1. Create messages for each step in the sequence.

  2. Add delays between steps to control when each message is sent.

  3. Continue adding steps until your sequence is complete.

Messages will be sent automatically based on the order and delays you configure.


Settings Tab

In the Settings tab, you can:

  • Set a message send window.

  • Select the time zone for message delivery.

  • Restrict access to sequence performance to specific admins only.


Automate Tab (Optional)

The Automate tab allows you to set up automatic enrollment rules for adding contacts to a sequence.


This step is optional - you can choose to enroll employees manually only if preferred.

Example:

  • Field: Hire Date

  • Condition: in the last

  • Value: 1 day

This rule will automatically enroll employees into the sequence the day after they join the company.


Saving the Sequence

Once your sequence is configured:

  1. Click Save Sequence.

Your sequence will be ready for use, whether you choose automatic or manual enrollment.


Performance Tab

After a sequence is created, you can track its performance in the Performance tab.

Available metrics include:

  • Sent

  • Deliverability rate

  • Failed rate

  • Click % for any included links


Enrollment Tab

In the Enrollment tab, you can:

  • Manually enroll employees into a sequence at any time.

  • Filter employees based on existing groups.

  • Mass enroll multiple employees at once.

This is especially useful if you choose not to enable automatic enrollment.


Managing Enrolled Employees

At any point, you can manage employees in a sequence by choosing to:

  • Unenroll

  • Pause

  • Resume

These actions can be applied individually as needed.
